The board is scheduled to make long-term cuts Jan. 11, Superintendent Phil Quon announced Tuesday at a school board meeting. Possible cuts include staff reductions, reducing custodial staff to halftime, eliminating district office classified positions, cutting hours at a teacher resource center and eliminating summer school and the GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) program. “We have scrutinized every aspect of district operations. We think this represents the best way to get where we need to be,” Quon said. Negotiable cuts include a one percent salary reduction and furlough days. Hausman said any discussions would be up to labor groups since legally discussions can occur only if labor leaders come forward with a written request. Telugu serial actress archana photos.
